The city of Racine, Wisconsin is well known for its middle class, mid-western roots. It has a long history of well-established families with deep roots settling into the community and opening up family businesses. Nowhere is this more apparent in Racine’s local restaurant culture.
The Sausage Kitchen is a long-standing local eatery in Racine. It has served the community as a deli and restaurant since its establishment in 1959. It is know city wide for its fine selection of meats and cheeses as well as its amazing hot sandwiches and soups.
For this project, my goal was to dramatically update the functionality and user experience of The Sausage Kitchen’s website. I used the original logo as well as a color pallet that would pay homage to the restaurant's roots.
Programs used for this project were Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
